We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognise their ongoing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present and future, and support the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices.
Our name comes from a play on the wonderfully descriptive German word, Wunderkammer, which translates as “Cabinet of Curiosities”. Since the dawn of time, scientists and alchemists, astrologers and astronomers, adventurers and explorers, traders and merchants, and artists and artisans have been collecting and cataloguing and collecting curios and keepsakes from every corner of the planet.
